Granny'S Tater Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 potatoes, peeled and chopped
    2 leeks, chopped
    2 carrots, chopped
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    4 cubes chicken bouillon
    1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    5 c. water
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/3 c. butter
    1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
    chives to taste, chopped
Preparation
    Place all ingredients (except milk and chives) in a 4-quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 7 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours. Stir in milk and chives during the last hour of cooking. Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
