Sauerkraut Surprise Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/4 c. sifted flour
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. water
    2/3 c. sauerkraut, rinsed and chopped
Preparation
    Cream margarine and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Add vanilla.
    Sift flour, cocoa, baking powder, soda and salt.
    Add to creamed mix, alternating with water.
    Stir in sauerkraut.
    Pour into 2 round or square pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Cool. Frost.
    May be topped with nuts or coconut.
