Pasta With Peas, Prosciutto And Parmesan - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. butter
    4 minced shallots
    1 1/2 c. heavy cream
    1 Tbsp. minced basil
    1/4 lb. Prosciutto, cut in thin strips
    3 c. shelled fresh peas
    salt and pepper to taste
    3/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
    1 lb. cooked pasta
Preparation
    Melt butter in a medium saucepan.
    Add shallots and saute over low heat 5 minutes.
    Stir in cream, basil and Prosciutto.
    Cook until thickened to a good coating consistency (about 15 minutes).
