Mephistol Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 egg
    2/3 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    salt
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. pecans
    2 1/2 c. (scant) flour
Preparation
    Cream shortening, cocoa and sugar.
    Add egg.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with milk.
    Add vanilla and pecans.
    Bake in layers at 350\u00b0.
