Ingredients

4 to 5 medium carrots, sliced
1 tart cooking apple, peeled and chopped
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
2 Tbsp. water
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

In a one-quart casserole, combine all ingredients except salt.
Cook in microwave, covered, 7 to 8 minutes or until carrots are just about tender.
Sprinkle with salt.
Yield: 5 to 6 servings.
