Award Winning Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (16 oz.) cans crushed tomatoes
    2 cans tomato paste
    1/2 c. green pepper
    1 c. onion, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. basil
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    2 tsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    2 c. water
    pinch of baking soda
Preparation
    In a saucepan, saute onion, pepper and garlic in cooking oil. Stir in basil, oregano and crushed tomatoes and tomato paste. Bring to a boil.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Reduce heat and simmer about 20 minutes.
