Cheese Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 2/3 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. shortening
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Shred Cheddar cheese.
    Combine dry ingredients.
    Cut in shortening.
    Stir in cheese and add buttermilk.
    Stir until dough clings together.
    Knead dough lightly and roll into 12-inch circle.
    Cut into 8 wedges.
    Begin at wide end of wedge and roll toward point.
    Place biscuit (point side down) on a greased baking sheet and bake at 450\u00b0 for 12 to 14 minutes.
    Yields 8 biscuits.
