Sugar Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla or almond extract
1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs, milk and vanilla.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Gradually add to creamed mixture.
Roll out on powdered sugar surface.
Dust cookie cutters with powdered sugar.
Cut and place on ungreased Teflon coated cookie sheet. Bake at 375\u00b0 until a very light brown on the very edge of cookie.
