Collard Greens - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. smoked turkey parts or ham hock
    1 1/2 qt. water
    1 hot pepper pod, minced
    3 clove garlic
    4 lb. fresh collard greens
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. vegetable or olive oil
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Place turkey or ham hocks in large saucepan; add water, pepper pod and garlic.
    Cover and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat to low and simmer 30 minutes.
    Add collards, sugar, salt and pepper. Cook 30 to 40 minutes or until greens are done.
    Makes 8 to 10 servings.
