Icebox Rolls(Soft Dinner Rolls) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1 c. warm water
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. salt
    3 c. flour
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Dissolve yeast in warm water.
    Cream the shortening with sugar.
    Beat in egg.
    Add yeast mixture to egg mixture and beat well.
    (This will not seem to work but the ingredients do not need to combine completely.)
    Add salt and flour.
    Stir with wooden spoon until a smooth dough is formed. Knead for a few minutes.
    Grease surface of dough with some melted shortening.
    Cover tightly and refrigerate.
    When ready to use (within 3 days), pull off golf ball size pieces.
    Roll in balls; let rise 1 1/2 hours.
    Bake 12 at a time on greased cookie sheet for 15 minutes.
