White Chili Bistro - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. chopped onion
2 Tbsp. minced garlic
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. ground cumin
2 lb. cubed turkey
1 lb. ground turkey
2/3 c. pearl barley
2 (1 lb.) cans rinsed chicken peas
1 Tbsp. minced bottled jalapeno peppers
6 c. chicken broth
1 tsp. dried marjoram
1/2 tsp. dried savory
1 1/2 tsp. arrowroot, dissolved in 1/2 c. water
Monterey Jack cheese

Preparation

Cook over medium heat until soft the onion, minced garlic and vegetable oil.
Add ground cumin and cook 5 minutes.
Add cubed turkey and ground turkey. Cook until meat isn't pink. Add pearl barley, chicken peas, jalapeno peppers, chicken broth, marjoram and dried savory. Cook 45 minutes.
Add arrowroot and cook 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Serve with melted Monterey Jack cheese and sliced green onions on top.
