Apple Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. cut up apples
    1/2 c. cut up nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat egg; add sugar.
    Beat again.
    Sift together flour, salt and baking powder.
    Add to egg and sugar mixture, then add nuts and apples.
    Grease and flour 9-inch pie tin.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
    Top with whipped cream or ice cream.
