Ingredients

1 (1 lb.) can chunk pineapple (in its own juice)
2 cans (1 lb. each) small whole beets
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. vinegar
3/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar (omit if pineapple is in heavy syrup)
1 c. juice (juice drained from pineapple plus beet juice if needed to make 1 c.)
Preparation

Heat juice.
Thicken with cornstarch.
Add vinegar, salt, pineapple chunks, beets and sugar (only if pineapple was in its own juice).
Heat thoroughly.
