Chili Con Carne - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef or turkey
1 c. chopped onion
3/4 c. chopped green pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up and drained
1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, drained
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 tsp. (or more) chili powder
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation

In a large kettle, cook ground meat, onion, green pepper and garlic until meat is browned.
Drain.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Bring to boiling.
Reduce heat.
Cover and simmer about 20 minutes.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
