Gumbo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 crabs or crabmeat or shrimp
    1 qt. water
    2 sprigs parsley
    4 cloves garlic
    1 c. diced celery
    1/8 tsp. thyme
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/4 lb. ham
    1/2 can tomato paste
    2 qt. chicken broth
    1 large onion, diced
    1 large bell pepper, diced
    1 bay leaf
    2 tsp. salt
    4 lb. okra
    salt
    cayenne pepper to taste
Preparation
    Saute okra in fat; add celery and onions.
    Add seafood.
    Cook 5 minutes.
    Add remaining ingredients except parsley.
    Simmer 1 hour.
    Add parsley and serve over steamed rice.
