Onions Au Gratin - cooking recipe
Ingredients

12 to 15 medium onions
6 Tbsp. butter
2 c. milk
1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shredded cheese
1 c. coarse bread crumbs
Preparation

Cook onions in boiling salt water until tender.
Melt 4 tablespoons butter in pan over low heat.
Add flour, stirring until smooth.
Add milk and cook, stirring until thick.
Add cheese, stir until it melts.
Combine onions and cheese.
Pour into greased 2-quart casserole.
Melt 2 tablespoons butter and add bread crumbs until coated with butter.
Put on top of onions.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
