Escalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. diced potatoes, cooked in salted water
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 medium onion, diced
    1/2 stick margarine
    1/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Saute onion in margarine. Add soup and milk; stir until smooth and thick. Stir in cooked potatoes. Place in well-greased casserole dish. Bake, covered, in a 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes. Remove cover and
    top with grated cheese. Put back in oven long enough to melt cheese.
