German Cherry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks unsalted butter (250 g)
    4 eggs
    3/4 c. sugar (150 g)
    1 3/4 c. flour (250 g)
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 can cherries, packed in water, drained (not cherry pie filling)
Preparation
    Soften butter.
    Mix butter with eggs; beat in sugar, then flour.
    Add baking powder.
    Mix.
    Pour mixture into greased and floured cake pan.
    Dot the top with cherries.
    They will sink in while baking.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes or until brown around edges.
