Ingredients

2 sticks margarine
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. soda
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1/2 c. warm water
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream the margarine and sugar. Add eggs.
Beat after each addition. Add 3 cups flour (beat on low). Alternate with milk, beginning and ending with flour.
In another bowl, mix the baking soda and cocoa.
Add the warm water. Add vanilla to batter on low. Bake in 3 large layers at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
