Caramels - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 pt. white Karo
    1/2 lb. butter
    1/2 pt. whipping cream
Preparation
    Boil first 3 ingredients for 30 minutes.
    Add cream, boil (stir occasionally) over medium heat until firm ball stage (244\u00b0 to 248\u00b0).
    Add 2 cups chopped nuts (chop fine).
    Pour in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Cool.
    Cut in 1-inch squares.
    Roll in waxed paper.
