Pork Chop Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 pork chops
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/4 c. oil
    1 envelope onion soup mix (Lipton)
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    2 1/2 c. water
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1 green pepper
Preparation
    Season chops with salt and pepper; brown on both sides in hot oil.
    Remove chops and add soup mix, mushroom soup and water to pan drippings.
    Bring to a boil.
    Put green pepper and rice in a shallow 2-quart casserole dish.
    Top with chops.
    Pour mixture over chops and bake at 350\u00b0 for one hour.
    Serves 6.
