Picante Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. tomatoes
    2 to 6 jalapeno peppers
    1 1/3 onions, chopped
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    5/8 c. vinegar
    1 1/3 tsp. salt
    1 1/3 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    3/4 tsp. minced garlic
Preparation
    Peel and cut up tomatoes.
    Place in a large pot.
    Add chopped jalapenos, onion, bell pepper and garlic.
    Add seasonings and vinegar.
    Bring to a boil.
    Boil gently until thick (4 to 6 hours).
    Pour immediately into hot, sterilized jars and seal.
