Cracker Jacks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. popped corn
    1 c. raw peanuts
    1/2 c. margarine
    1/3 c. Karo syrup
    1 c. light brown sugar, packed
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Boil margarine, syrup and sugar 4 minutes.
    Remove from heat; add to syrup mixture 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
    Stir well.
    Pour over popcorn and nuts in large roasting pan; mix well.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes (ovens may vary), stirring every 15 minutes.
    Cool and store in covered container.
