Chili - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
2/3 c. chopped onion
1/3 c. chopped green pepper
15 oz. can tomatoes, cut up (with juice)
15 oz. can tomato puree
1 large can red kidney beans, drained
2 cloves garlic, crushed and chopped
2 Tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp. oregano
Tabasco sauce (2 to 3 dashes or more if you like it hot)
salt and pepper to taste
shredded cheese (Monterey or other)
Preparation

Brown ground beef with onion and green pepper.
Drain and place in pot.
Add tomatoes, puree and garlic and simmer 10 minutes.
Add chili powder, cumin, oregano and Tabasco.
Simmer 10 minutes and taste.
Add salt and pepper as needed.
Can also sprinkle small amount (about 1/2 teaspoon) of sugar if too acidy. Simmer 20 minutes, then add beans and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve in bowl over rice or plain. Sprinkle with cheese.
