Buckwheat Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 cake yeast
2 c. sweet milk
3 c. buckwheat flour or enough to make batter thick
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Mix all ingredients.
Let stand overnight to raise.
In the morning, thin the batter with warm water and add a pinch of soda. Bake on greased griddle.
Cakes are ready to turn when they are filled with little bubbles.
