Cucumber And Onion Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium cucumbers, thinly sliced
    2 red onions, thinly sliced
    1 c. vinegar
    salt
    1 c. water
    4 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    In 2-quart casserole, layer cucumbers and onions. Sprinkle with salt. Repeat layers and salt. Cover tightly and drain off liquid every hour for 3 hours. Combine water, vinegar and sugar. Cover vegetables with this mixture and cover tightly. Refrigerate overnight.
