Mock Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. Grapenut cereal
    1/2 c. warm water
    3 well-beaten eggs
    1 c. dark syrup
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 unbaked pie shell
Preparation
    Combine cereal and water (let stand until water is absorbed). Blend eggs and sugar.
    Add syrup, butter, vanilla and salt; mix in cereal.
    Pour into pie shell and bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes or until filling is puffed up across top of pie.
