Fettuccine With Spicy Tomato Cream Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tsp. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. onion, minced
    1/8 tsp. red pepper flakes
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 (14 oz.) can whole tomatoes, drained
    1/3 c. heavy cream
    1 (9 oz.) pkg. fettuccine noodles
    1/4 c. julienned basil leaves
    freshly grated Parmesan cheese to taste
Preparation
    Melt butter in large skillet over medium-low heat.
    Add onion and red pepper and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
    Add the tomatoes and salt.
    Cook over high heat, crushing tomatoes with spoon, until almost dry, about 8 minutes.
    Stir in cream and bring to a boil.
    Boil 1 minute.
