Strawberry Cream Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry banana jello
    2 c. boiling water
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries
    1 (13 1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
    2 large bananas, sliced
    1 c. dairy sour cream
Preparation
    Dissolve jello in boiling water.
    Add strawberries.
    Stir occasionally until thawed.
    Add pineapple and bananas.
    Pour half into 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
    Chill until firm.
    Spread evenly with sour cream.
    Pour remaining gelatin atop.
    Chill until firm.
    Cut into 9 squares.
    I sometimes omit the strawberries and add more bananas.
    When you do this, you must add 1 3/4 cups cold water.
