Bread (Easy Egg Braid) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 4 1/2 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    2 pkg. yeast
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    3 eggs, slightly beaten (reserve 1 Tbsp. egg for glaze)
Preparation
    In bowl, combine 2 cups flour, yeast, sugar and salt.
    Mix well.
    Heat water, milk and shortening until warm (shortening does not need to melt), then add to flour mixture.
    Add eggs.
    Beat 3 minutes at medium speed.
    By hand, gradually stir
    remaining flour to make a firm dough.
    Knead until smooth and elastic at least 5 minutes.
    Place in greased bowl, turning to grease top.
