Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1 c. white sugar
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Cream together first 4 ingredients.
    Sift together remaining ingredients and mix into creamed ingredients.
    Make balls.
    Roll in sugar.
    Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 minutes or less.
    Makes 5 dozen.
