Raspberry Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. butter, softened
    1 egg
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 pt. preserves (raspberry, strawberry, blueberry or cherry)
Preparation
    Set oven at 350\u00b0.
    Combine the first 6 ingredients; beat 2 to 3 minutes with hand mixer.
    Reserve 1 1/2 cups.
    Spread the remainder in a 9 x 13-inch pan, which is sprayed with Baker's Joy or Pam.
    Spread the preserves over the dough; crumble the reserved portion over the preserves.
    Bake for 40 to 50 minutes.
    Cool before cutting.
