Candied Yams And Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (16 oz. each) cans fried apples
    2 (1 lb. 7 oz. each) cans yams
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. cloves
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 c. melted butter
    1/2 c. orange juice
    1 tsp. grated orange rind
Preparation
    Combine apples and yams; pour into shallow baking dish.
    Mix remaining ingredients; spoon over entire casserole.
    Bake, uncovered, in a preheated oven (350\u00b0) for 40 to 45 minutes.
    Baste yams and apples occasionally with the syrup in the casserole. Serves 6.
