Tahoe Brunch - cooking recipe
Ingredients

12 slices white bread, trimmed
3 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. butter
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 large onion, chopped
1 1/2 lb. Jimmy Dean sausage
1 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
6 eggs
2 1/2 c. milk
3 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Butter the bread with 1/2 cup butter.
Brown mushrooms and onion until tender in 3 tablespoons butter.
Brown sausage and drain.
Grease a 9 x 13-inch casserole. Layer 6 slices of bread, 1/2 mushroom mixture, 1/2 sausage and 1/2 cheese.
Repeat layers. In a mixing bowl beat together eggs, milk, mustards, nutmeg and pepper.
Pour over casserole.
Cover and refrigerate overnight. Sprinkle parsley on top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
(Can be prepared up to 24 hours in advance.)
