Ingredients

3 c. sugar
3/4 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. water
2 egg whites
1 tsp. almond extract
1 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Place sugar, corn syrup and water in heavy saucepan.
Over medium heat, cook to hard ball stage (248\u00b0).
Remove from heat and let stand until temperature drops to 220\u00b0, without stirring.
