Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. navy beans
    1 large onion
    3 small carrots
    4 small potatoes
    2 celery stalks
    1 c. chicken stock or broth
    1/4 lb. ham, cut in small pieces
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Cook beans until tender.
    Cook all other ingredients in chicken broth for a few minutes, then add all together.
    Cook until tender.
