Covered Walnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. walnuts
    2 egg whites
    1/2 c. sugar or honey
    dash of salt
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Bake walnuts on cookie sheet 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    While baking, beat egg whites until stiff.
    Fold whites into sugar and salt.
    Add walnuts.
    Melt 1/2 cup butter in shallow baking pan. Pour in mixture and bake 30 minutes at 325\u00b0.
    Stir every 10 minutes.
