Dill Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 qt. water
1 c. coarse salt
few pieces fresh dill
1 qt. vinegar
1 tsp. mustard seed
1/4 tsp. alum
Preparation

Put cucumbers in jar.
Put dill and alum on top of cucumbers in jar.
Mix vinegar, water, salt and mustard seed in saucepan. Bring to a boil and pour over pickles.
Seal.
Allow to age several weeks.
