Kettle Supper - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 strips bacon
    2 c. diced ham
    1 1/2 c. precooked rice
    1 can beef consomme
    salt and pepper to taste
    dash of sugar
    1 can whole corn
    2 c. water
    1 can stewed tomatoes or 1 small can tomato sauce
Preparation
    Brown bacon in a large pan.
    Take it out and dry it off.
    Pour out all but 2 tablespoons of bacon grease.
    Put 2 cups of diced ham in pan and brown it lightly.
    Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil.
    Turn fire out, cover and let set for 5 minutes.
    Serve hot with crackers or cornbread.
