"Light-As-Feather" Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. soft shortening
    1 egg
    1 c. milk
    1 3/4 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix shortening and sugar.
    Blend in egg.
    Measure together the dry ingredients and add to mixture alternately with milk.
    Stir just until dry ingredients are mixed well.
    Fill greased muffin cups (I use Pam spray) about 2/3 full.
    Bake until brown in a 375\u00b0 oven, about 20 to 23 minutes.
    Makes about 1 dozen regular sized muffins.
    These are good served instead of rolls.
