Raisin Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. water
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    nuts
Preparation
    Stew
    raisins
    in
    water
    for
    5 minutes.
    Set aside to cool. Cream
    shortening, brown sugar and white sugar together until smooth.
    Add
    2 eggs, one at a time.
    Add vanilla.\tSift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon together. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture alternately with water from raisins.
    Add raisins
    and nuts.
    Drop rounded teaspoonful on cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
