Ham-Cheese Strata - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 slices day old bread, trimmed of crust
    4 slices sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 c. ham, cooked and chopped
    4 eggs, beaten
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. onion, chopped
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. mustard
    pinch of pepper
Preparation
    Place
    4
    slices
    of bread in 8-inch pan and cover with cheese slices,
    ham and remaining bread.\tCombine eggs, milk, onion
    and seasonings;

    top.
    Let
    stand
    1 hour or overnight. Bake
    at
    325\u00b0
    for 1 hour until light brown.
    Let stand
    a few minutes and cut into squares.
    Do not cut immediately or it will be runny.
    If prepared the night before, keep in refrigerator. Serves 4.
