Jean'S Fried Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    prepared 2 crust pastry
    cooked, sweetened dried fruit (such as peaches, apricots, prunes, blueberries or thick applesauce)
Preparation
    Roll pastry to 1/8 inch thickness.
    Cut with 4-inch cookie cutter.
    On each round place 1 1/2 tablespoons fruit; moisten edges with cold water.
    Fold over; seal with floured fork.
    Fry in deep hot fat (370\u00b0) for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Or saute in a small amount of fat, then brown in 425\u00b0 oven.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
