Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. bran
    1 c. boiling water
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. salad oil
    2 eggs
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. dry bran (Kellogg's preferably)
    1 c. seedless raisins
Preparation
    Soak 1 cup bran in boiling water.
    Mix together sugar, salad oil, eggs and buttermilk.
    Sift together flour, soda and salt; add to sugar mixture.
    Add the soaked bran, plus dry bran and raisins. Bake in well greased and floured muffin tins at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
    (Will keep 3 weeks in the refrigerator.)
