Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. mashed ripe bananas
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    2 c. sifted flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar together. Beat eggs until light and add.
    Press bananas through sieve or just mash and add lemon juice.
    Blend with creamed mixture.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and mix quickly into banana mixture.
    Add nuts. Bake in greased loaf pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
