Ingredients

1 qt. strawberries
4 c. sugar, divided
Preparation

Place the strawberries and 2 cups sugar in a large pan; bring to a boil.
Boil for 4 minutes.
Stir constantly.
Add 2 more cups sugar and bring to a boil; boil 5 minutes.
Let cool and skim foam off with metal spoon.
Place in a container and freeze.
