Scalded Tennessee Corn Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pt. water
11 oz. plain corn meal
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Add salt to water; bring to a boil.
Gradually mix meal with water.
Cool until firm.
Shape into patties.
Fry in 1-inch fat until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
Drain and serve hot.
Makes 18 corn cakes.
