Orange Sauce (Heart Healthy) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
dash of cinnamon
3/4 c. boiling water
1 Tbsp. oil
1/4 c. orange juice
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. grated orange rind
Preparation

In pan, mix sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon.
Gradually add boiling watter.
Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook, while stirring, for 5 minutes.
Remove from stove.
Add oil, orange juice and rind and lemon juice.
Stir to mix well.
One tablespoon equals 35 calories.
Place sauce on plain cake, lemon cake, chocolate cake, pound cake, angel food cake or gingerbread.
