Cream Of Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. chicken broth (College Inn)
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    2 c. cut broccoli
    dash of white pepper (optional)
    1 bay leaf
    dash of garlic powder
Preparation
    In saucepan, bring chicken broth, onion, bay leaf, dash of garlic and broccoli to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until tender.
    Remove bay leaf. Add butter, salt and pepper.
    Mix flour and milk together, then add to soup.
    Stir and heat until thickened. Serve.
