Chicken And Vegetable Fricassee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. frying chicken pieces
    1/3 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. garlic salt
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 c. water
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    4 to 5 thinly sliced carrots
    10 oz. pkg. frozen or drained canned peas or leftover vegetables
    1 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. undiluted Carnation evaporated milk
Preparation
    Wash chicken.
    Coat in mixture of flour, salt, pepper and garlic salt.
    Brown in melted margarine.
    Add water.
    Cover. Simmer 40 minutes.
    Add carrots, peas and onion.
    (Add 1/2 cup water if liquid evaporates during cooking.) Cover.
    Simmer 30 minutes.
    Remove chicken.
    Stir evaporated milk into vegetables in skillet.
    Heat to serving. Pour over chicken.
